It was great to see a full house for Chris Hayes talk at SUNY New Paltz about living in the attention age. As folks continue to seek information, but realize their attention is being mined by large corporations they will look for more “farmers market” type options. HUDSY was built in response to that reality and hopes to be a small part of the solution. #watchlocal
It's been a grind to get HUDSY off the ground and it's easy to neglect your own personal needs when building something you're immensely passionate about. I was blessed to get a nice recalibration with some down time and it feels so great to be back working with this amazing team and to feel re-energized.
Hope you are all coming out to Beyond the Screen next Saturday March 11th at the Rosendale theater. Episode 2 of HUDSY’s original series Behind the Mic featuring Tony E will be premiering. Trailer coming out soon!!!
About to cuddle up on the couch with some pop corn and my cat to watch this HUDSY original. #snowdayvibes
I was down and out last week with the nasty stomach bug that's been going around. I don't know about you, but when I'm sick, sometimes I can't find ANYTHING I want to watch! This time, I found myself on HUDSY TV browsing around and watching a bunch of great music videos, docs and more. I hope everyone here stays healthy, but if you find yourself in need of a pick me up, hop on the app and let us keep your company. (Some of the things I watched last week pictured below).
So today my dog Meeko is 5. Can’t believe he’s been in my life that long. We’ve been through a lot together. Should I do a short video on Meeko? He’s slightly photogenic.
One of our upcoming original films, Immersed, will be right around the corner. Looking forward to finishing it up!
I spent the afternoon with someone who played in Woodstock so excuse the trippy post. I’m sure once you watch episode 3 of HUDSY’s original series, Behind The Mic, you’ll be feeling the same way.
Sometimes I wonder if there will come a time when music will begin to repeat itself. Certainly there can only be a limited amount of combinations one can make with 12 notes. But then, I remember, behind the melodies are creators. Creators like Juma Sultan who played along with Jimi Hendrix giving way to the synergy of the blues and rock & roll. Because of creators who dedicate their lives to rhythm there will always be a new melodic sound.
If you didn’t know Gregory McCollough you would just assume he’s a hoarder! Outside his front lawn of his house are mountains of clothes and shoes. When you walk into his home boxes stacked on boxes. So is Gregory an Hoarder? That’s the furthest from the truth, in fact he has sacrificed his home to help others in need for the past 6 years. In those boxes are socks, blankets, clothes, just the most random things that could be a necessity for someone struggling in life! The meaning behind his Org name “Beyond 4 walls” gave me a totally different perspective of Gregory. Many organization that are doing amazing work do the work that is confined within the 4 walls. Gregory goes beyond that with his organization. If he hears that sally doesn’t have food or blankets, Gregory would personally take sally food and blankets. So he goes “beyond the 4 walls” to help people in need.. This is a short piece that we are working on
