One of the things that I like the most about local models is that they are accessible in everyday life. So many of our interactions these days are digital, which can have its benefits, but it's also nice when those digital interactions can lead to in person experiences. I love that we feature some of the work of Daniel Villegas as he's such a talented member of our community and I love even more when I get to see him perform in person.

We take what we do as storytellers very seriously and don't take lightly the magnitude of trust it takes for someone to be willing to share their story with us. Thanks Greg for giving us that honor.

It was great to see a full house for Chris Hayes talk at SUNY New Paltz about living in the attention age. As folks continue to seek information, but realize their attention is being mined by large corporations they will look for more “farmers market” type options. HUDSY was built in response to that reality and hopes to be a small part of the solution. #watchlocal

It's been a grind to get HUDSY off the ground and it's easy to neglect your own personal needs when building something you're immensely passionate about. I was blessed to get a nice recalibration with some down time and it feels so great to be back working with this amazing team and to feel re-energized.

The first event in our new Beyond The Screen series was an epic night of community despite the fact that the weather was shit and half our team was sick. I can't wait to do it again with the full team and hopefully some better weather. Check out the link below for the recap from the last one and big ups to Hudson Valley Visuals for the awesome video. Can't wait to see you there.

I just got home from a mixer at Good Time Film Studio and we are so lucky with all the incredibly talented folks who live in the Hudson Valley. If you need a space to shoot in or you want to connect with some epic folks then you definitely need to check them out.

That's one of the questions I've been asking myself especially since the start of the pandemic. When I moved back to the area, one of the places I would go to connect with folks was the Hudson Valley Tech Meetup. We wanted to create something in that same spirit and based on the response so far, I don't think I'm the only one looking for more connecting opportunities. Can't wait to see you there.

Another beautiful event with our MVORE family and they said they haven’t seen Safe Harbors standing room only in quite some time.

Mark your calendars for January 28th at 3pm especially if you live in the city of Newburgh. We have an awesome event planned in collaboration with MVORE. We will be showing around 8 short films that all connect to the city of Newburgh. When was the last time you got to gather with your neighbors and spend the afternoon watching films about your own community? We hope you can join us.

I grew up here in the Hudson Valley in both Ulster and Dutchess Counties which gave me a unique experience. Playing little league in Poughkeepsie will forever be a fond memory I look back on.  I love telling stories and celebrating the amazing places I’ve been lucky enough to call home. I lived in Jackson Hole, Wyoming for a decade and ran a snowboarding magazine which was completely unexpected and such a gift. After being away for so long, it feels special to be back close to my family and friends in the Hudson Valley. When I’m not working, I love to be outside w/ my partner Alisha and experiencing the beautiful nature we have in our backyards. I really just wanted to work at a place like HUDSY, but since I couldn’t find anything like it, we decided to build it.
